Are you guilty of this?

Fabulous Ladies, can we talk about the word "someday"? "I'd love to write a book someday." "I'm thinking about raising a round eventually." "Maybe I'll raise my prices at some point." Does this sound familiar? It's really staying small but dressed up as patience. Here's the thing: vague language keeps you unaccountable. In other words, if you never say the specific thing out loud, you never have to be measured against it. No one can ask "how's that going?" No one can hold you to it — including you. The Founders who actually build the thing say it plainly. "I am writing the book." "I am raising in Q1." "My new rate is $X." Saying it like it is isn't arrogance. It's the first commitment you make towards achieving that goal. So here's an exercise for you: Before the day is out, pick one goal you've been describing vaguely, and say it plainly ... out loud, to one other person. What's the thing you've been "someday"-ing?
